Good Afternoon Stokesdale Parents,
This is Mrs. Bennett, Principal of Stokesdale Elementary. Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all the Amazing Stokesdale Mothers! We appreciate all you do for Stokesdale Elementary! Here are your weekly announcements for the week of May 11th. Thank you to all the Parents who donated or sent in gifts for our staff for Teacher Appreciation Week last week! It was a great week for our staff! Please be reminded that if your child has cafeteria charges still left on their account that they are paid off by the end of the year. Also please remind your student to check the lost and found items if they have misplaced coats or sweatshirts before the end of the year gets here. Wednesday is Field Day for K-2 Students, Thursday is Field Day for 3-5 Students, and please see Mr. Bowden's Class Dojo post if you would like to volunteer on the field days.
Please be reminded that no student should be dropped off before 7am unless they are a member of Safety Patrol. We do not have enough staff before 7am to supervise students. Also all students should be picked up by 2:25 each day.
Please remind your student to bring their One Card each day to school. If your child does not have his/her One Card, please send in $5.00 to replace their One Card.
The final PTO membership meeting of the school year will be held Wednesday May 13th at 6:30pm in the media center. We hope to see you there!
Save the date - May 19th is school spirit night at Joey's Burger Bar in Oak Ridge!
Please remember parents will need to show your ID to our Front Office staff in order to check your student out, as well as sign them out on the sign out clipboard. No parent needs to come into the building or the Front Office to pick up your child. Front Office staff will assist you at the Main Office Front Door in order for you to pick up your child. Parents that are volunteering will need to bring your ID as well and you will be asked to come into the Front Office to sign in on the front office computer to receive a visitor or volunteer sticker. Our lunch menu for this week is on the Stokesdale Elementary Facebook Page and Class Dojo. We look forward to a "GREAT" week of school.
